This course provides excellent preparation for a wide range of subjects relating to business, management, accounting, finance and economics. The Business Foundation Year has been developed in consultation with Keele Management School which has a long established and growing international reputation.
Study of the theory of business and management goes hand in hand with investigation into up-to-date case studies and training in academic literacy, numerical and computational skills.

After you have completed your Business Foundation Year, you could progress on to the Marketing and Management programme.

This course will equip you to understand the role and importance of marketing and business in the context of social and cultural trends. In the fast-paced world
of digital and online marketing, you’ll be encouraged to apply your learning in real world situations to develop skills that are highly sought after by employers. You can gain further practical experience by taking a placement year or spending a year studying abroad.

You will explore the concepts and debates in organisational behaviour and management, including decision making behaviour across the private and public sectors. You will study markets and consumers, their behaviours and how to understand and communicate with them. You will also examine branding and cutting edge digital marketing, which have very rapidly evolving skill requirements. The variety of optional modules available on this course will also enable you to further your skills and insights.
