The Event Technology degree is the perfect choice for aspiring sound, video and lighting technicians. This course is focused on developing a range of technical skills required within the live events industry, while simultaneously allowing you to develop your own areas of specialism. Throughout your study, you will receive expert tuition and practical experience in the areas of audio engineering, lighting technology and video systems. You will also learn to understand how these systems will evolve in the coming years. Further modules in event design and live events management add to your professional skill set.

As a BA (Hons) Event Technology student you will study directly alongside musicians and songwriters. This unique environment provides regular opportunities to hone your skills through hands-on involvement in professional shows, concerts and events.

In order to fully develop both technical and creative skill, Nexus ICA has built strong links with the Event Technology industry. The BA (Hons) Event Technology has been designed in partnership with SFL Group—one of the UK’s leading events solutions companies. This collaboration gives you access to the latest technology as well as training opportunities in real-world environments. Combined with the strong Biblical discipleship ethos that exists at Nexus ICA, the result is that you will be better equipped within your career, church and beyond.

Nexus ICA is committed to the education of the whole person and a strong sense of community is an integral part of what we do. There are regular opportunities to spend time together as a whole school. Staff and students come together weekly to socialise, pray and worship together.

It is a key part of our educational ethos that teaching takes place in smaller groups. Our staff-to-student ratio allows us to adopt a unique approach, where staff have the time to work alongside each student and create an experience that is tailored to them.

There are many opportunities throughout the course to get involved in the wider Nexus ICA life. Students are encouraged to contribute to a range of causes and events during their time here, creating a diverse learning experience that will enrich many aspects life.
