Subject

Hair and make-up

This course begins at Level 4 and is a natural progression route for students that have previously studied hair, beauty, media make-up, art and design or creative media at level 3.
It has been created to provide you with a strong foundation of the necessary disciplines, skills and techniques to work in the performing arts industry (Film, TV and Theatre) in hair and make-up.

Using experienced industry and expert educational staff, we aim to teach our graduates to not only have the technical skills but also ethical business knowledge, an ability to self-promote and the resilience to work in this ever-changing industry.

You will study 8 modules, each of which attracts 15 credits to accumulate 120 credits at the end of the programme.

Career Options include: The development and growth of the TV and Film sector in "Media City" in Salford, as well as content made in Greater Manchester has resulted in an increase in job opportunities in all disciplines.
Theatre is booming and new musicals and shows are being regularly created. There are a wealth of touring productions in the UK and internationally with short term and long-term contracts available.
The beauty and modelling industry continues to thrive with increased support from influencers and online content creators. Versatile and skilled freelance artists are regularly hired for a range of different commercial projects.
