The Ucas application and personal statement [video]

Applying to university this year? We headed to a sixth form college to ask university applicants how they found the Ucas application process (and that personal statement!)...

Watch now: Ucas application and personal statement

More Ucas application need-to-knows

  • You can apply for up to five courses (up to four for medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine/ science courses). To get started on finding your five courses, head to our course search
  • The main deadline for undergraduate courses is 15 January. If you're applying to Oxbridge or medicine, dentistry or veterinary science / medicine, you'll need to apply earlier (by 15 October). For some art and design courses, the deadline is at the end of March.
  • You'll need to apply for student finance separately via the relevant funding body for where you're applying from (England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland).

And don't worry too much about your personal statement. We've got loads of advice to help you write it right here on Which? University - see these personal statement dos and don'ts from admissions tutors for starters.

Thanks to students and staff at Havant Sixth Form College for taking part in the video.
