The academic experience is bound to be one of your top considerations when choosing a university course. Any university prospectus will promise you great teaching and top learning resources, but student satisfaction scores can give you a more realistic idea of what life is really like at one university over another.

The staff always have time to go through work with you and are easy to get in contact with. In first year I had 8-10 contact hours which is useful to make you work independently, especially with the library open all day and all night! As anyone who applies to Oxford should know, teaching is intensive tutorial-style, with between one and three students meeting with a tutor. I love it, and love arguing with my teachers. Lots of lectures and personal study required. Extremely challenging, have to do background reading in order to keep up to speed. Exams are primarily the type of assessment.
