As well as equipping you with knowledge and skills required in the advertising industry, this course gives you the opportunity to study either French, Italian, Mandarin or Spanish in order to further your international career opportunities. The language element starts with a module suited to your current level of knowledge, and you will build on this throughout your degree.

Our modules will provide you with the principles and practice of marketing, as well as specialised knowledge in areas such as customer insight and research, strategic brand management, and direct, interactive and digital marketing, preparing you for a career in the global advertising industry. You may also have the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ student exchange programme.

You will have the opportunity to gain exemptions from Chartered Institute of Marketing, Market Research Society and Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing examinations, helping you obtain professional recognition early in your career.

This course will prepare you for international management positions in advertising and public relations agencies and careers in sales promotion, marketing, media, digital communications and other advertising fields.

Want to join a fast-moving, diverse industry that's at the cutting edge of tech? Try marketing! A lot of the jobs are in London, but graduates don't just go to work in advertising agencies — all sorts of industries do their own marketing these days, and with the rise of digital and mobile technology, a lot of marketing is done in quite innovative ways using a wide range of methods. Common industries (apart from advertising and PR) include recruitment, online retail, higher education, banking and IT. This is a broad subject for a variety of European languages. No matter which you take, the general theme is that some graduates go to that country to work, often as English language teachers, some go into further study, often to train as teachers or translators, but most get jobs in the UK in education - most often as language tutors, unsurprisingly, or translators.
