Become an expert in science and performance coaching disciplines, working with professional athletes on this accredited sports coaching degree. Learn from lecturers who are sports coaches, working with partners such as GB Rowing, British Equestrian, GB Paralympic squads, and the England and Wales Cricket Board.


This course has a practical learning focus. You'll develop high-level expertise in sports coaching as well as sports science areas that support effective coaching such as performance analysis, biomechanics and psychology. Learn in our sports facilities at our Oxstalls campus with sports coaching students from all years. Facilities include a modern sports hall, all-weather pitch, astro-turf, mirrored sports studio, gym, physiology, bio-mechanics and bio-assessment labs, motion performance equipment, strength and conditioning and therapy suites and an environmental chamber.
