Youll develop creative skills in audio, animation, graphic design and 3D modelling, along with technical abilities in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and MySQL, for example. With opportunities for work placements with firms such as Rancon, Athena Web Design, Codemasters and IBM, our graduates stand out from the competition. Youll have the chance to create websites for live clients such as Cheltenham Motor Sports, win prizes at our 48 hour webathon challenge and exhibit work at the universitys own exhibitions, WEBX and COMX, showcasing your talent to potential employers.Youll draw on the expertise of lecturers with extensive industry experience, learn from inspiring guest speakers and have the chance to undertake unforgettable field trips (additional costs may apply, see course web page for details). Previously, students have analysed how applications can work within a real-world context, visiting the Design Museum in London, the VR World Congress and Tamworth Snow Dome. They have even visited Bulgaria to help inspire, test and develop their digital design projects. Modules

A very hands-on degree creating portfolios of design work, websites, presentations and exhibitions. You'll be mentored through video tutorials, electronic documents and mini-workshops. In your first year you will learn to design, develop and deploy HTML5 and CSS3 compliant websites for a live client, right from the ground up. In your second year you will take things to the next level and work with mobile devices, creating apps and web-based content for mobile devices. In the final year of this degree you will explore search engine optimisation, social media marketing and digital methods to manage information for customers. You also have the option to complete a year-long work placement.
