Here’s a chance for you to study while making a difference to people’s lives. This extended course is perfect if you want a degree in Public Health but you don’t meet the standard entry requirements.
First we prepare you for your degree during the foundation year, bringing you up to speed with academic skills and a firm grounding in the subject. Then you can go on to do the full undergraduate degree.
Public health is a dynamic, evolving international subject area, centred on improving the health, wellbeing and quality of life not just in the community around the corner but across entire nations.
It’s an area that’s made for students who are committed and caring, who believe in social justice and who are prepared to work hard within communities to effect change - to do something for the greater good.

Assessment methods

Assessment consists of a mixture of coursework, presentations, class tests and written
exams. Laboratory practicals may be assessed in various forms including reports and
quizzes.
? Continuous assessment in workshop activities is employed in some modules where
active participation in individual and group work may form a major part of the
module teaching.
? ECDL (European Computer Driving License) is the medium of instruction for the IT
training on the module “Essential Maths and ICT”, and it leads to an internationally
recognised Certificate. The IT component of the module is delivered online and
supported by workshop sessions.
To pass the level 3 programme and progress on to your chosen degree programme, all
modules must be passed. To pass a module, you must get an overall mark of at least 40%, and
achieve a threshold mark of at least 30% in every assessment component.
