Your offer will be based on your predicted grades from your core A2s (full A levels), BTEC Diploma etc including grade C at A level in Mathematics and one other Science or Technology subject at A Level (or equivalent qualification). We will accept up to 16 points towards the total from level 3 qualifications such as AS (where those AS levels are not taken on to A2 level), the Extended Project, or Music qualifications. Automotive engineering

This course has been developed to meet the full academic requirements for accreditation by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). It will enable you to successfully attain Incorporated Engineer status and will develop your skills in Motorsport and Manufacturing design, technology, project management and health and safety. You’ll learn through lectures, research projects, seminars and workshops and will be taught by our highly skilled staff. You’ll also have the chance to take part in live projects and extra-curricular activities that will enhance your skills and knowledge. As well as front line motorsport roles, you’ll be equipped for jobs in high-tech manufacturing companies. Motorsport graduates have gone on to work for Aston Martin, EPM Technology, Ford, Jaguar Land Rover and Triumph Motorcycles.

Graduates are in significant demand, so unemployment rates are well below the national graduate average and starting salaries are well above average. Much the most common industries for these graduates are now vehicle manufacture - there are not enough people with these degrees to go round and so the big employers tend to take the lion's share at the moment. But pretty much anywhere there is manufacturing, there are production engineers. Bear in mind that a lot of courses are four years long, and lead to an MEng qualification — this is necessary if you want to become a Chartered Engineer.
