In this degree you will focus on key marketing tools and consider the issues facing marketing now and in the future. You will develop practical skills covering a breadth of topics such as market research methods, strategic marketing and marketing communications; and learn from our lecturers about when and how key marketing tools can most effectively be used. Throughout this vocational course you will apply the theory you’ve learned in lectures to real-world scenarios, equipping you for your future career as a marketer. This course also gives you the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of how marketing fits into the broader context of business and management, providing you with a foundation of knowledge across all disciplines. This unique blend of knowledge will enable you to think critically about marketing projects and help you make informed decisions in your future career. Our four year programmes with placements offer you a valuable opportunity to experience first-hand how the concepts you study can be applied in practice. Placements can raise students’ commercial awareness, develop their skill sets, and improve their employability and networking skills. The experience will be assessed through a final year module after your placement year. This will develop your ability to reflect on professional experiences and recognise the impact on your career development. Our study abroad year allows you to learn in one of over 20 partner institutions, ranging from Canada, the USA, Holland, France, Spain, Sweden, India, Oman and more. You don’t have to know another language as lessons will be taught in English. Studying abroad gives you a chance to broaden your horizons and enhance your career prospects by immersing in a different culture. This degree is good preparation for a career in marketing management, marketing research, retail marketing, direct marketing or marketing-related fields.
