University Centre Sparsholt, home of the National Zoo Academy is a recipient of a Gold award from the Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF). This is the highest commendation for excellence in teaching, learning and recognition of our high levels of student satisfaction and successful progression. Added to that, our employability figures show 97% of UCS graduates successfully in work or further study (DLHE 2017). UCS is an associate college of the University of Portsmouth and offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses including FdSc, BSc and MSc courses. Students learn from industry experts in outstanding facilities in a range of subjects including Animal Management, Zoo Biology, Veterinary Nursing, Fishery, Marine Biology and Aquaculture, Equestrian Science, Horticulture and Wildlife, Ecology and Conservation. UCS is close to Winchester and easy to reach by road, rail or air. Our large and attractive campus is set in the beautiful Hampshire countryside, with onsite dedicated higher education accommodation, as well as additional accommodation available within the city centre of Winchester.
