Looking to join a graduate training scheme or land a graduate job in business?

This course combines broad-based business modules with specialist options that represent around 50% of the degree, and which range across disciplines like finance, marketing, human resources and logistics as well as general management.

With so many options, BA (Hons) Business Management is the most flexible of Newcastle Business School’s four-year undergraduate degrees.

You’ll undertake a year-long placement between your second and final years, or spend the year studying in another country. This sandwich year is compulsory, in contrast to our ‘Business With’ courses where it is optional.

The course is covered by the prestigious AACSB accreditation for Newcastle Business School, which was ‘Business School of the Year’ at the Times Higher Education Awards 2015. We’re also undergoing a full re-accreditation process with EPAS who require some of the highest levels of relevance, rigour and internationalisation.

Assessment methods

Your tutors will use a variety of teaching methods, which may include lectures, seminars, problem-based workshops, case discussions, practical activities, group work and tutorials. Teaching is backed up by a well-designed support system that will underpin your learning journey. You will have access to a Guidance Tutor with whom you can discuss any academic issues. Extensive feedback from both tutors and peers is built into the course.
