This course will bring you up to speed in the field of Biology. You'll become a skilled and talented biologist, capable of analysing, processing and innovating.

Biology of Infectious Disease students graduate with a broad knowledge base, with a deep understanding of health and disease. This exciting course will allow you to develop technical and transferable skills in a range of specialist areas. You'll be equipped for careers in areas as diverse as the medical and allied research institutes, health agency laboratories, bio-analytical medical genetics, forensic units, the pharmaceutical industry and health and safety.

A typical week involves a minimum 12 hours contact time with academic staff in a variety of forms, including:

- lectures

- tutorials

- seminars

- workshops

- practicals

Practicals and projects are conducted in our state-or-the art Science Centre, said to be the largest teaching laboratory in Europe. For a virtual tour our Science Centre facilities, please go to www.londonmet.ac.uk/science. Our Library has just completed extensive renovation and has many areas for group or independent study. It also has Wi-Fi and computer facilities.
