City Life
Not too big, not too small. And the atmosphere there on an international rugby weekend is unbeatable.
Cardiff University graduate
St Mary Street is Cardiff's 'main strip' where you'll find more bar and pub-type places. Caroline Street is known as 'Chippy Lane' - a must to get food after a night out.

Fantastic, lots to choose from! From casual drinks at Cosy Club or the Taf, to a house night at Ifor Bach ('Welsh' Club) or 90s hits in Retro, there's something for everyone.

What students say about living in Cardiff...

Living Here
Cathays, where I live, is popular with students. It's close to the city centre and has a brilliant choice of takeaways and restaurants. Supermarkets are easily accessible, at most a 10-minute walk away. Would absolutely choose to live here again.

Living Here
I live in Roath, off Albany Road. There are loads of other students here. There’s a high street nearby with loads of shops, so don't have to go into the city centre for things. It's easy to cycle to uni from here, and buses link you to the city centre.

Student money tip
Apply for a 'Key to the City': a £5 pass that gives 3 years' free entry to Cardiff Castle.
