A level
Please note that A-level General Studies, Critical Thinking, Thinking Skills and Global Perspectives are not accepted by King's as one of your A levels. Must include AB (in any order) in at least two from: Biology/Human Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Physics, Sociology, Physical Education, Mathematics. Also, all applicants must obtain a minimum of 8 GCSEs at grade 6/B or above including Science, English and Mathematics. NOTE: If you are taking linear A levels in England, you will be required to pass the practical endorsement in all Science subjects. This is with the exception of private candidates who are unable to take the practical component.
Access to HE Diploma
Access to Science Diploma (or similar subject). Selectors will be looking for Distinctions at Level 3 in at least two of Biology/Human Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Physics, Sociology, Physical Education or Mathematics. 60 credits in total are required. Also, a minimum of 8 GCSEs at grade 6/B or above including Science, English and Mathematics.
Cambridge International Pre-U Certificate - Principal
Please note that Global Perspectives is not accepted by King’s as one of your Pre-U Principal subjects. Combinations of Pre-U principal subjects and other qualifications (such as A-levels) will be considered. Must include two subjects from Biology (or Human Biology), Chemistry, Psychology, Physics, Sociology, Physical Education, or Mathematics. Biology is a preferred subject. Also, a minimum of 8 GCSEs at grade 6/B or above including Science, English and Mathematics.
GCSE/National 4/National 5
All applicants must obtain or have obtained a minimum of 8 GCSEs at grade 6/B or above including Science, English and Mathematics.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
Including 6,6,5 at Higher Level with two subjects from Biology (or Human Biology), Chemistry, Psychology , Physics, Sociology, Physical Education, or Mathematics. Biology is a preferred subject. The total point score of 35 includes TOK/EE. Grade 5 SL in both English and Mathematics, if not offered at GCSE. Note: IB students studying the new Maths curriculum would be required to study either Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation at Higher Level to meet the subject requirement for this programme
Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)
Must include at least two from: Biology/Human Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Physics, Sociology, Physical Education, Mathematics.

Scottish Advanced Higher
Must be combined with three Scottish Highers. We do not count the Higher and Advanced Higher in the same subject. Must include two subjects at Advanced Higher from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Education or Mathematics. Standard Credit grade 1 or 2/Intermediate 2/N5 in Mathematics, Biology/Science and English also looked for if not taken at Higher/AH.
Scottish Higher
Must be a combination of three Scottish Highers and two Scottish Advanced Highers. We do not count the Higher and Advanced Higher in the same subject.

About this course
The BSc Physiotherapy provides a contemporary science-based curriculum that prepares graduates for working flexibly across the changing health and social care environment and to provide high-quality, person centered and population sensitive, responsive service where individual choice is paramount.
The programme has a strong emphasis on skill development for effective communication, evidence-based practice, professionalism and leadership in healthcare, alongside promoting a systematic understanding of the core principles underpinning physiotherapy practice to guide clinical reasoning and health promotion.
On completion of the programme, graduates are eligible to apply for state registration as a physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
