Course description

Please note that following a recent review of our construction related programmes and in consultation with industry and professional bodies, the name of our BSc(Hons) Property Management and Valuation has changed to BSc(Hons) Real Estate from September 2017 intake. This change reflects the increasing global market in this subject area and is synonymous with how the profession is currently regarded across the globe allowing graduates from this programme to be employable worldwide.

Modules

Year 1: Studies include urban studies; economics; legislation; construction and property valuation. Year 2: Continuation of core skills development; property management; urban planning; construction and property contracts; property development. Year 3: A year long professional placement which may count towards professional qualification. Year 4: Honours dissertation; advanced valuation; corporate property management and urban regeneration.

Management degrees are a popular choice, with more than 6,000 graduates in 2012.
