We welcome A Levels in a wide range of subjects, especially in those relevant to the course for which you apply.

We may consider a standalone AS in a relevant subject, if it is taken along with other A Levels and if an A Level has not been taken in the same subject. However, you will not be disadvantaged if you do not have a standalone AS subject as we will not ordinarily use them in our offers.

Blend academic theory with intense practical work, learning everything from website and app design to consumer behaviour and social media, on a course that prepares you to work in one of the fastest moving and most exciting industries there is.

You’ll explore marketing across all platforms, but specialise in digital, future-proofing yourself for a career in business and marketing.

You can learn at your own pace, and be ready to join industry in only two years or take a traditional three year route.

Modules

In order to give you a fully balanced learning experience, you’ll take on one module from our three categories each term. ‘External’ modules focus on market research, customers and industry partners. 'Internal' modules explore the way businesses manage themselves - from finances to operations to people. 'You' modules are all about your own personal development, focusing on creativity, self-reflection, and specialist knowledge.

Stage one
You'll explore the key industry elements, the challenges in the current landscape, and upcoming trends. By looking into data, information and intelligence, you’ll get to grips with finance, marketing, and the tactics and techniques for understanding and influencing people. And by presenting and pitching ideas as a team, you'll improve your decision-making and relationship-building skills.

Stage two
Expanding on your specialist skills and knowledge, you’ll better understand the core ideas behind successful digital marketing. Stage three

What do graduate employment figures really tell you?

The number of business studies graduates fell significantly last year after a long period of increase. But there were still more than 14,000 degrees awarded and this is the third most popular subject for new graduates. Because so many graduates get business studies degrees, you can find them everywhere in the economy, and very few jobs are completely out of reach for a good business studies graduate. Around 40% go into jobs in finance, sales, recruitment, management (particularly retail) or marketing. There is also a small (but well paid) group who take their technical skills into computing and IT. Thousands of graduates from this subject go into professional jobs every year, and average starting salaries are above the average for all subjects and particularly healthy in London where they top £25k. Graduates with good degree grades in business studies are much more likely to get good jobs, so don’t be complacent, and keep a close eye on your grades.
