Two A levels can be combined with up to two AS levels, A levels can be combined with BTEC and OCR Level 3 qualifications up to a maximum of four A level equivalent qualifications totalling at least 96 UCAS tariff points.

In combination with A levels, BTEC or OCR Level 3 qualifications equivalent to at least two full A levels totalling at least 96 UCAS tariff points.

Pass including a minimum of 18 credits with merits or distinctions Preferably in a relevant subject such as Health & Social Care, Education related, Science, Psychology. Any other qualfications should be referred to tutor. GCSE English language and mathematics at 4 or above also required or other equivalancies.

Obtain a minimum of 24 points overall. Students who do not complete the IB Diploma will be considered on the basis of their IB Certificates if they obtain a total of 12 points or above from three Higher Level Subjects and alongside other acceptable level 3 qualifications to meet 96 UCAS Tariff Points For students who do not already hold a GCSE in Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above grade 5 in Maths (Standard Level) from the IB Diploma will be accepted. For students who do not already hold a GCSE in English Language at Grade C/4 or above Standard Level English Language (not literature) Group A - Grade 4 or above, OR English Language Group B Grade 5 from the IB will be accepted.

Pass the Irish Leaving Certificate with a minimum of 96 tariff points, achieved in four Higher level subjects. This must include Maths and English Language taken at either Ordinary level (minimum grade O1-O4 (or A-C/A1-C3)) or Higher level (minimum grade H5/D1).

At its heart, our BA (Hons) Working with Children, Young People and Families programme has the rights of children and young people, and a commitment to social justice are at the centre of what we believe, teach and research. We will provide you with a range of teaching and learning experiences to build on your existing skills and motivation so that you can contribute to a changing society, particularly with services who work with, or for, vulnerable children, young people and their families.

With a focus on personal, as well as professional development, our degree will engage you in understand the complexities of working with children young people and their families, in theory and in practice. We want to support you so that you can develop to become effective agents of change, making a difference to vulnerable children and young people, and providing family support.
