Pass with 60 credits, 45 of which should be at Level 3, remaining 15 from level 2 or 3. With a minimum of 12 credits achieved from any units awarded at merit or distinction.

For Year 1 entry pass the HND with 2 merits. Overall grade is a PASS. For Year 2 pass the HND with an overall grade of at least a MERIT. May be considered for advanced entry onto the third year of the degree. Subject to satisfactory comparability of modular content at levels 4 and 5. A transcript will be required.

For students who complete the full IB Diploma: a total of 14 points from 3 higher level subjects. Students must have grade 5 in Maths (Standrad level) and English Group A - Grade 4 or above or English Group B and Ab Initio - Grade 5 Students who do not complete the IB Diploma will be considered on the basis of their IB Certificates. A combination of GCSEs, A-levels and IB certificates will be considered on a case by case basis

Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT), our Architectural Technology course is where the science of construction meets the art of design. Our outstanding industry links mean youll have the opportunity to work on live projects, using the very latest technology and techniques. You will learn how to construct designs using CAD (computer aided design) in a three-dimensional format and keep up-to-date with the latest skills such as Building Information Modelling (BIM). You will gain the skills to negotiate with planning and building authorities, and develop the expertise to advise them. You will also investigate project and contract management. Our excellent relationships with employers open up a range of opportunities for work placements. This will enable you to gain first-hand work experience while making valuable professional contacts. Its an exciting time to study architecture and design in Birmingham the city is undergoing huge regeneration. This means that there are many opportunities, now and in the future, for those with built environment qualifications. Our City Centre campus is on the threshold of the site of the new HS2 station, so will be at the heart of the citys future development. These developments also offer opportunities for regular field trips to construction projects throughout the Midlands which will add further relevance to your studies. In 2017, we are spending 8.7 million on improvements to our Millennium Point facilities so youll have even more access to dedicated, industry-standard equipment.
