With a very low student loan, I have still been able to survive and budget. There are many shops in Southampton which cater for the students. However, finding part-time work has been a struggle. I thought I would have more of a chance of finding work in Southampton, however I have not yet been succesful.×

Contact time is very good and lecturers doors are open at all times for student support. Group work is important on the course and it allows you to interact with many types of people, and make the closest friends. Work is challenging but fun, comprising of roughly half practical and half written.×

Academic facitites are very good. The library is open late although is not 24hrs and provides excellent selection or request service for books not available in the library. There are IT suites dotted around but these get busy very easily and the network can be rather slow. The university has a small campus which has to compromise in order to fit facilities in and can therefore be cramped.×
Capturing students attention and imagination by allowing creative freedom within projectsReport
Could be more organised with things like letting us know when grades will be available.Report

League table rankings
Here's where this university ranks in the three main league tables (where available), which are calculated using a combination of stats that they each weight in different ways. They’re a handy guide but don’t offer the full picture – just because a university is top (or bottom) of the league tables doesn’t mean it is (or isn’t) the right choice for you.
Where it's located
We’ve pinpointed the key sites where teaching takes place. Check in the smallprint of the course you’re interested in to see where exactly you’d be based, especially if there are multiple locations spread across a wide area.
