    • The downside

The night life is very limited in high Wycombe. It doesn't really live up to a typical students expectations of ' uni night life'.

      Accommodation

Brook street halls are the best to live in. They may look basic and a bit like a prison cell but once you put your memories an photos up and decorate it how you want it becomes your own little home. Whenever you walk around you are sure to see someone to talk to and you make so many friends just from living there! Not only the people who live with but once you make friends in other flats you meet so many others. Brook street is so close to uni as well so if you wake up a bit late from the night before if you rush you can still make it to your lecture!

      Academic Experience

IT course. The work that is given is fairly standard, you are givin an introduction to the topic and then you're expect to "make" your own miniature version (I.E learing HTML and CSS you're expected to make a website with those skills). You will be expected to do some theoretical exams however that's kept to a minimum. The biggest problem you may face are the resource materials. For example; at one point we were taught how to use an SDK (Torque 3D) in class and we were expected to carry out a project using that SDK with the only problem it could only done within uni becuase there was no student version with the licence costing $34.95 (yes, USD + $39.95 for Torsion).

League table rankings

Here's where this university ranks in the three main league tables (where available), which are calculated using a combination of stats that they each weight in different ways. They’re a handy guide but don’t offer the full picture – just because a university is top (or bottom) of the league tables doesn’t mean it is (or isn’t) the right choice for you.

More on what university league tables really tell you.
